We like many qualities about this styling product and note a few potential limitations for users too. Here are our thoughts after using the Stylista Straightener several times.

2 in 1

When we read the instruction booklet that comes with the Noa Kirel Stylista Straightener, we were surprised to learn that it can curl hair in addition to straightening it. Also, we were able to create waves with the tool.

It’s nice to see that the single item can be both a hair straightener and a curling iron. It saves us from using two separate items, which can be an extra cost and take up extra space in the bathroom. Being multi-functional is a great feature, we feel.

Dual Voltage

It also has “worldwide voltage,” as per the outer packaging. This term means the NuMe straightener available is designed for use around the globe as it spans 110-240 volts. Thus, it is made to handle AC voltage outlets across countries. 

Being dual voltage makes sense, given the straightener comes with a travel case. Easily take the bundle on the go. As Noa Kirel is a traveling superstar, it’s no wonder this product is designed for use around the world.

An Easy to Use Design: Our Experience Using the Stylista

We used the Noa Kirel Stylista Straightener to straighten and curl our hair and found the design is straightforward and easy to understand. The heated tool fits easily within the hand and the handle is cool to the touch. Here is more about our experiences using it on dry hair (NuMe does not recommend using it on wet hair, as per their website).

Very Fast Heat Up

We found the instruction book easily explains the steps to create straighter locks. Within only about 10 seconds after turning on the Stylista model and setting it to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, it had reached the desired temperature. We loved seeing the temperature climb quickly on the digital screen. 

We then tested how soon it could climb to a higher temperature, setting it to 350 degrees. The iron reached it only a few seconds. The fast warmup of this tool blew us away. Using this straightener regularly would cut down our beauty time as there is not much wait time after turning it on. If you are a busy professional like us, you might appreciate this feature too.

3 Buttons

Using the straightener is not complex as it only has three buttons on the inside of the handle. The middle button is the power button, the top button increases the temperature, and the bottom button reduces the temperature. Easily touch the buttons to adjust.

Setting the Temperature

While the temperature was easy to set, we noted that the instruction booklet did not give heat recommendations for different hair types. While we knew the ideal heat level for our hair type as we have used straighteners before, this lack of info would be problematic for beginners who have never straightened their tresses before. We wish the instruction booklet would have provided a guide, although an online search would provide the answer for most people or asking the manufacturer for advice.

Swivel Cord

We also noted the ease of movement when styling the back of the head with the Noa Kirel Stylista Straightener because of its swivel cord. The 360-degree swivel cord made movements easier that otherwise might be awkward. 

Floating Plates

The floating plates enabled us to get close to the roots when straightening and curling the hair. If you don’t want a kink at the top of the head but desire a more natural look, floating plates can provide this with a uniform style from root to tip.

Single Pass

When straightening strands, we noticed that it only took a single pass with this heat tool. That saves time and energy, which is great for almost any beauty routine. As per the instruction booklet, we only did small sections of hair at a time and slowly passed the straightener through the hair. The strands did not catch on the hair when sliding or removing the straightener from the hair.

Curling Process

The technique for creating curls and waves with the Noa Kirel Stylista Straightener was a learning process for us. We re-read the steps in the instruction booklet but struggled with the technique. 

After putting on the two-finger glove, we realized that the straightener stays in place near the roots, holding a section of hair, and we twist the hair around the barrel rather than pulling it down through the hair. We held the tool in place for 2-5 seconds before removing it and noticed the beautiful curl. From that point on, the technique was easier for us. For fine hair, the curls required a few tries to hold in place.

No Frizz

After curling the hair, we noticed that our fine hair was sleek rather than frizzy. We found the same result after straightening the strands. A more polished appearance is a great thing, in our opinion.
